Yande
Last updated: 11 September 2026
Yande (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates LearnZulu (isiZulu tutoring, Grade 4–12) and LearnMath (Mathematics and Science tutoring, Grade 5–12), online tutoring platforms for South African learners.
By creating an account, registering a learner, or using either platform, you agree to these Terms and our Refund Policy. If you're registering on behalf of a child, you confirm you are their parent or legal guardian and are accepting these terms for their use of the service.
We provide CAPS-aligned lessons, quizzes, flashcards, games, assessments, and a dedicated human tutor assigned to each paying learner, who reviews work and provides feedback. Certain features (an AI study companion, live chat with your tutor) are subject to fair-use daily/monthly limits disclosed in the app.
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately at tutoring@yande.africa if you suspect unauthorised access.
See our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
Tutors are independent contractors engaged by Yande. While we vet and support our tutors, we do not guarantee specific academic outcomes or a fixed number of tutor interactions beyond what's stated in your plan.
You agree not to:
Lessons, questions, audio, and platform software that we've created are owned by Yande or licensed to us, and are made available for personal learning use only — you may not copy, resell, or redistribute them. Some material (for example, content adapted from open textbooks) is openly licensed by its original author rather than owned by us; that material stays under its own open licence, which is why it can be included in the free plan. Work a learner submits (answers, recordings, essays) remains theirs, but you grant us a licence to store and process it to provide tutoring and feedback.
We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these Terms, including non-payment or abusive conduct, with notice where reasonably possible.
The service is provided “as is.” To the extent permitted by law, Yande isn't liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited under South African law.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll post the new version here with an updated date; continued use after a change means you accept it.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
